*Double wrap* This is very similar to the starter wrap that you just learned, however instead of a single core wire, we use two wires in the core. Below you can see a good example of this. A single wire comes arond the stone on the left, and then splits into a "weave".
1. Select two strands of wire for your core, as well as the type of wire you would like to use to wrap around these two core wires.
2. Place the two core wires together in parallel, and begin wrapping the outer wire around them in a similar manner as the "standard wrap".
3. Start wrapping the core wires until the desired length is reached prior to the point where you would like to split.
4. At this point you can either start a "weave", or split into two separately wrapped strands.
Tips: Make sure to plan ahead when starting the wrap, you may need additional wire on both ends of where you begin the wrap. Make sure to leave plenty of extra outside wrapping wire, double the amount of core material means you will use more wrapping wire. This gives us the ability to do a couple of things. It allows us to start with a single wire and split into two directions on one continuous strand, or it will allow us to perform the next technique that I will demonstrate which I call the "weave".
